We have finally the video from Matz's keynote available online! The video guys are processing the remaining recordings and will post them at the same location. We will keep you hosted here and at the discussion, of course.

Developing Ruby/Rails applications in NetBeans

Roman Štrobl from SUN Microsystems will give a workshop about developing Ruby/Rails applications in NetBeans on Saturday, 13.00. Come if you're interested!

Traffic limitations on Saturday

Notice to everyone: On Saturday 29. 3. the Prague Marathon takes place, and the tram traffic will not be going through Staroměstská station. Please take metro or walk!

Planning Friday and Saturday parties

We are now planning the Friday and Saturday parties, so expect some e-mails from us in the next couple of days with invitations. We will need some numbers for the reservations, so please don't ignore these e-mails if you can.

Program for Euruko 2008 available

We have finally sorted out the program and you will find it published at the conference website. As you can see, we have tried to leave plenty of space for the lightning talks. So if you have an interesting project, or have implemented some interesting Ruby library, service or idea, don't be shy and come forward!

Attendee listing launched

We have just launched attendee listing, which you'll see when you login to the website. Hopefully it will give you better sense of who you'll meet at Euruko. XML & YAML exports for the dataminers included, of course :)

Last call to Euruko registration & call for talks

Hello all, here’s some important news for EURUKO!

First, since there’s been some ambivalency regarding sending talk proposals, the deadline for sending talks really is on Sunday night. If you have a talk ready, do send it without hesitation. (We also plan the favourite lightning talks”, of course!)

Second, we went over 250 registered attendees in last couple of days (more than double number of last year), and will have to close the door soon. Handling 300+ Ruby geeks just far exceeds our manpower, sorry! :) So, the registration will stay open until 250 paid attendees are in the database. After that, no matter what, if you have registered on the launch day of this website, you won’t be able to pay and won’t be able to come. We have to order the T-Shirts and other stuff and need the precise numbers. So, please, do make up your mind, and if you plan to go to Euruko, click the Paypal button. There’s nothing to wait for really.

In other news, we have design of the conference T-Shirt by Thomas Fuchs , in true Euruko spirit, and it goes to the printers on Monday. Also, expect 11Mbit net connection on the spot donated from the University, so those gem-installing heavy and Ruby-robots-tournaments featuring talks should go fine :)

Matz is coming to EURUKO!

We are very happy to announce that Matz (most probably accompanied by Koichi) is coming to EURUKO! There are currently more than 100 people registered to attend, so thank you all! We will update the website in next couple of days with more details on program, information about sponsors and other stuff.

You can now register at the EURUKO 2008 website. Please note, that registration is finished after paying conference fee of EUR 20 via Paypal. You can send your talk proposal via online form after registration. Thank you, we will keep you posted about program updates!

Today we've launched the website for the European Ruby Conference 2008 with basic information (map, location info). We will be adding more content in the next couple of days. Now everybody clean your clarinets! :)
